A new asphalt roofing shingle manufacturing complex is being built by general contractor Bob Moore Construction to house IKO's latest production operations in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Spanning multiple structures, the campus will utilize a mixed-material construction approach to meet practical needs and cost targets.

The central manufacturing buildings leverage cast-in-place concrete, CMU block, and pre-engineered steel depending on zone and function. Connected specialized structures include an array of storage tanks up to 60 feet tall for housing raw materials, as well as exterior infrastructure like product handling systems and a 10-foot utilities bridge.

When complete, the multi-building production campus will represent a major investment by IKO to boost their North American manufacturing capacity. The complex structural specifications and coordination of custom mechanical systems has tapped Bob Moore's extensive experience executing specialized industrial projects regionally.
